The Reviews Are In....

Jess and I sent in some product samples to Mom's Favorite Stuff.com a couple of months ago, and our review came out today....

Over a year ago, my husband and I started using reusable bags for our grocery shopping trips.
Now my daughter can copy her mommy and daddy with the new very first reusable shopping bag
from Sew Vermont!
Sew Vermont, founded by two moms who want their children to grow up in the cleanest environment possible. Made of cotton and lined with organic muslin, my very first reusable shopping bag is perfect for any little one to take to the farmer’s market, grocery store, or anywhere else! There are several different patterns available that are appropriate for boys, girls, and both.
Sew Vermont also sent us a four-pack of their washies, made from flannel and hemp french terry. These washcloths are great for baby’s soft skin, and are also perfect for older children.
They are high quality and wash well.
We couldn't be more excited! Thanks MomsFavoriteStuff.com!

August Apple Pickin'

We've had a little hint of fall in the air this week, and what better way to celebrate the new season than to pick some of Autumn's tastiest treats. We went to Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, CT and picked (and picked!) apples and peaches. The best part? all the girls got to use their "My Very First Reusable Bags" to hold their fruit. They just loved holding their very own little "purses!"

The big question now?? What to do now with all of the fruit!!!

Turtles, turtles everywhere!!!

A friend of mine was wanting something special and unique for some just born twins!!! She told me their mom loves turtles and to "do somthing cute". I came up with this. Hope you like it....and I hope they will too!! (I really need to find a better way to take pictures, but you get the idea) I love the creativeness of custom orders. Please feel free to contact us at mj@sewvermont.com for any special requests for upcoming baby/kiddo celebrations in your life!!

Gearing up for Garlic!

Hi Everyone!

Jess and I had a very productive weekend! She was in CT visiting family so we made some time on Sunday morning to get together and get ourselves organized for our 2nd annual trip to Southern Vermont's Garlic Festival in Bennington.

Our little ones were trying to help us sort things out and pack things up...all the while wearing cute little whale and froggy Sew Vermont Kids pants. Maybe we're a little biased...but really, could they be any more adorable?

Last Labor Day weekend was our first time as vendors at the festival...we sold a ton of stuff and had a great time. We couldn't believe how many people were there. Of course, last year the weather was picture perfect...so hopefully mother nature will cooperate again this year!! We're excited to show off some of our new Eco-Friendly Sew Vermont Kids line! We even plan to raffle off a Welcome Baby Bag to one lucky garlic-goer.

It's a great family event, so come on out and stop by our booth to say hi! We'll be there Saturday, August 30th.

Almost Ready to Re-Launch...

Missy and I have been hard at work these past several months working to make our products more eco-friendly for all those babies and kids out there! We are almost ready to relaunch our site and have decided that it would be a good idea to have a blog to let all our faithful customers know what is going on.

Sew Vermont Kids is becoming more eco-friendly both through the type of products we make like these: My First Reusable Shopping Bag and Cloth Napkins.

We are also using organic or other sustainable fabrics like hemp/cotton and hemp/corduroy in the products you see below; Handanas, Hats, Wash Cloths and Burp Cloths.

We are trying to keep a very modern and hip look for all those eco-minded moms and pops out there! Please check it out every now and then. I will be using this avenue to show off my own custom momma-made clothing for all those little ones out there!

Missy and I have our big Southern Vermont Garlic Festival coming up in a few weeks and would love to see you there. We are liquidating all of our old merchandise at incredibly low prices!!! Please stop by our booth on Saturday August 30th.
